I did a quick and simple job making this chart for user Pyro, over in the sprite stitch forums
. I didn't like how the cross stitch chart of the original image came out (the front grill was washed out, for example), so I shrunk the image down using the GNU Image Manipulation Program
(a free, open source image editor) and cleaned it up a bit. This result isn't perfect, but some images require a bit more finesse and fine tuning to turn into good patterns, and unfortunately I didn't have a lot of time. When I have more free time, I'll make a tutorial on how to convert large illustrations into cross stitch patterns. (The short version is that standard image resizing algorithms tend to blur lines in illustrations, so you need to clean the image up after resizing it.)
Cross Stitch Pattern Preview:
The cross stitch chart is 101 stitches wide by 120 stitches high.
